About Me

Driven by curiosity, guided by discipline, and trusted for my reliability. These are the qualities that have shaped my academic journey, leadership roles, and career aspirations.

During my internship with PSA Marine, I was first introduced to the challenge of sustainability within the maritime industry and the complexities involved in reducing carbon emissions. Motivated to explore this further, after doing some research, I initiated a final year project titled “A Look into the Future of Electrified OSVs”.  To realise this vision, I independently taught myself 3D printing, laser-cutting, and coding, culminating in the fabrication of a prototype electrified vessel capable of docking with and charging other offshore vessels. This experience reinforced my curiosity for emerging technologies and my discipline in translating ideas into tangible outcomes.

During my time at Singapore Polytechnic, I took on various leadership roles that required consistency, accountability, and service. As the President of Singapore Mixed Martial Arts, I set the club’s mission and vision, organised events, and improved standard operating procedures. Beyond internal development, I also initiated a service-learning programme which brought together members from seven CCAs of around 40 students to volunteer with Touch Young Arrows over the course of a year. Through sustained commitment, these efforts contributed to the club receiving the SP Excellence Award, alongside individual recognition.

Concurrently, as Logistics Head of the Singapore Maritime Academy Club, I led a team to ensure that all logistical arrangements were efficiently executed and administrative documentation were managed in a timely and organised manner. Taking on these roles strengthened my ability to lead reliably while balancing multiple responsibilities.

During National Service, I was appointed the Technical Emulation System Overall In-Charge (TES OIC) role under the ITI OPFOR Company. As a Corporal, I led 30 fellow servicemen to ensure the accountability and serviceability of TES equipment. In addition, assisting with various administrative tasks such as the tracking of logistics and the digitalization of key documentation to improve not only the efficiency of recovery and preparation for mission exercises but also quality of life. Giving me an experience that further emphasised  on disciplined execution and ownership.

My career aspiration centres around lifelong learning and creating positive impact through innovation. I aim to contribute to leadership roles within the offshore renewables and new energy product segments, staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends. In line with this commitment, I utilised the free time during National Service to complete various courses in project management, machine learning, AI tools, and data analysis. These efforts reflect my belief that continuous learning is essential to remain effective and forward-looking in a rapidly evolving industry.
